Trauma informed counselling & psychotherapy in Somerset for anxiety, relational wounds, and the lasting impact of early experiences.

When life looks fine on the outside.
Sometimes the outside of life looks steady, organised, or even successful, while the inside feels very different.
You might be someone who holds a lot, stays strong for others, or keeps things going even when it feels difficult internally. And yet there may also be moments of exhaustion, anxiety, feeling disconnected from yourself, or wondering why things still feel hard when they “shouldn’t.”
This is often something that develops over time, especially when you’ve had to adapt to emotional unpredictability or take on too much responsibility too early in life.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of these patterns, and begin to understand yourself in a different way.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a humanistic, person-centred approach, supporting you to explore experiences, understand emotional patterns, and navigate difficulties with care and compassion.

Some clients come for short-term support, while others choose longer-term psychotherapy to explore deeper relational patterns, trauma, identity, and long-standing emotional difficulties

Expertise

I offer trauma-informed, relational counselling and psychotherapy for adults, including those with experiences of ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences, as well as people navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.

My work focuses on understanding how early relationships and emotional environments can shape the patterns we carry into adulthood. This often includes exploring attachment dynamics, emotional protection strategies, and survival adaptations that developed in response to earlier experiences.

Together, we may gently explore recurring relational patterns and internal responses that once helped you cope, and how these may still be influencing your relationships, sense of self, and emotional wellbeing today. Sessions are paced around what feels most supportive for you, whether you are seeking focused short term support or longer term, depth oriented psychotherapy.
